ANDREW ST. JEAN, CrossFit Level I Certified Coach

Andrew has a varied and comprehensive athletic background.  Ever since he could walk he has been involved in some type of sport or athletic activity.  He was a four sport varsity athlete in high school and participated in multiple intramural sports at the University of Connecticut where he earned his Bachelor's degree in economics. His competitive athletic background includes golf, soccer, basketball, football, baseball, volleyball, and running. He also enjoys recreational snowboarding, swimming, and cycling.  

In high school, Andrew started weight training on a constant basis, and it quickly became a love of his.  However, the typical routine of back and biceps followed by 20 minutes of cardio started to lose its appeal. After moving to Chapel Hill in August 2010, he found CrossFit while training for a half marathon and quickly became hooked. He joined Crossfit Local shortly thereafter and has not looked back since.

He loves the competitive aspect CrossFit brings to fitness.  CrossFit allows him to compete not only against other athletes, but against himself on a daily basis.  To Andrew, there is no better feeling after a long day in his cubicle than a new personal record at Local. He has experienced amazing results from CrossFit and hopes to share his experience and diverse knowledge in athletics with others.
